The Reform Bill of 1832, also known as the Representation of the People Act 1832, was a significant piece of legislation in the United Kingdom that reformed the electoral system by redistributing seats in the House of Commons, eliminating many "rotten" and "pocket" boroughs, and extending the franchise to include more men from the middle classes. It did not, however, create equal electoral districts, give the vote to all males, or extend the franchise to all adult males and most women.
