Samantha is being seen because at approximately 10 a.m. today she experienced a sudden hearing loss in her right ear. Examination of the ear is negative for any foreign objects; however, she is not hearing out of that ear. She is being sent for an ENT consultation. Assessment: sudden idiopathic hearing loss.
