Read this excerpt from an eye consult: As is common with this condition, the medicine alone was not enough to prevent glaucoma. I have been routinely monitoring her IOP, and it has risen. It is my recommendation to perform a trabeculectomy to relieve the pressure. I discussed the risks and benefits of the surgery with Mrs. Robison, and she is interested in proceeding.
