The BBP Standard requires the use of protective eyewear with front and side protection (solid side shields).Eyewear is worn to protect the eyes from damage from aerosolized pathogens such as herpes simplex viruses and from flying debris such as scrap amalgam and tooth fragments.
If you wear contact lenses,you must also wear protective eyewear with side shields or a face shield.
