The Following Principles Have Been Identified by the OJJDP for Preventing

The following principles have been identified by the OJJDP for preventing delinquent conduct and reducing serious, violent and chronic delinquency EXCEPT:

A) strengthen families to instill moral values and provide guidance and support to children
B) allow children to try and work out their own issues and not intervene immediately when delinquent behavior occurs
C) identify and control the small segment of serious, violent and chronic juvenile offenders
D) support core social institutions such as schools, religious institutions and other community organizations to alleviate risk factors for youth
