PID is an acute infection of the upper genital tract. The most common organisms are Chlamydia and Neisseria gonorrhea; PID would not be contagious by being in the same room. There is no infection risk for a client with gastrointestinal bleeding (Option D). Clients with the same organism can room together (Option E).
