The Three Vice Principals at the Local High School Can

The three vice principals at the local high school can often be seen chatting with the students and monitoring the area across the street from the school where the students smoke.Just before the bell rings to signal the end of lunch break,the adults tell the students to leave the area and get back to school,and they all comply.Why do they comply?
