Studies have shown that a significant portion of the wage gap between men and women can be attributed to differences in their occupation and industry placement. Women tend to be overrepresented in lower-paying fields such as education and healthcare, while men are overrepresented in higher-paying fields such as engineering and technology. However, this does not mean that women and men work in similar occupations or that all men have good jobs. Women also work in a broad range of jobs across all sectors, while men are not necessarily concentrated in jobs where they "help" people.
