"Double fisting" drinks may be popular at college parties, but it's not really acceptable in most dining/drinking establishments. There is no law against it, but to prevent over-serving guests it is best to only serve each of them one drink at a time. When they're drinking at a slower pace, they'll get intoxicated at a slower pace as well.
