Occlusion of thalamic branches of the posterior cerebral artery may produce thalamic sensory syndrome. It is characterized by persistent and unpleasant sensations through one half of the body.
Anterior cerebral artery supplies the medial aspect of cerebral hemispheres, subcortical structures, basal ganglia, anterior fornix, and anterior four fifth of the corpus callosum.
