A Girl in Lauren's First Grade Class Has Been Talking

A girl in Lauren's first grade class has been talking a lot about the fact that instead of being raised by a traditional mother and father, she has two married girlfriends as parents. Lauren's mother was unprepared when one day Lauren came home from school and, out of the blue, asked "Mommy, what's a lesbian?" How should Lauren's mother answer her daughter?

A) "Lauren, you're too young to be asking me that kind of question. Go do your homework."
