The Nazis were basically fascists who were also racists. Fascism is characterized by reverence of the state. Every citizen, every industry, and every agency works to benefit and glorify the state. Speaking against the state is criminal, and anything that does not directly benefit the state first (even before it benefits the laborer) is often considered an act against the state. The Nazis also adopted a primary belief in Aryan supremacy, demonizing Caucasians who were not of Aryan (Nordic) descent, Asians, people of African descent, and especially Gypsies and Jews.
