According to Good Samaritan laws,

A) emergency care is permitted when it is within the scope of competence of the person administering first aid.
B) emergency care is permitted only with the explicit (e.g., verbal) consent of the patient.
C) all medical personnel are required to provide care in all emergency situations.
D) when providing emergency care, medical personnel are protected against possible claims of negligence.
E) the permission of the patient (or the person holding power of attorney) is required in any situation, emergency or otherwise.
