A student was asked the following question: "Briefly list and explain the various components of Weber's multidimensional model". As an answer this student wrote the following:
"Weber identified three components of stratification. These are class, status and party. Class refers to a group of people who have a similar level of economic resources and that the actions of individuals can be understood solely in economic terms. Status refers to people who have the same prestige or lifestyle such as the kind of car one drives and it is similar to economic class standing. Party refers to the capacity to organize in order to accomplish a goal. For example a political party can be seen as a potential resource".
