The Magyars, also known as the Hungarian people, are the ancestors of present-day Hungarians. They migrated into the Carpathian Basin in the 9th century and established their own state, which eventually became the Kingdom of Hungary. Saracens and Vikings were not directly related to the Hungarian ancestry, and while Varangians (Vikings who settled in Kievan Rus') did have some contact with the Magyars, they did not contribute significantly to their ancestry.
