The HUC is usually the only staff member to use the fax machine to transmit orders to the pharmacy.A stat medication order has to be sent to the pharmacy quickly.The HUC should:

A) use the redial option to fax the doctor's order,because seldom does anyone else use the fax machine.
B) run the set of orders to the pharmacy,and stay to pick up the stat medication needed by the patient.
C) check the directory of extensions,and dial the pharmacy fax number to fax the doctor's orders.
D) call the pharmacy,and tell the pharmacist that there is a stat set of orders;read the orders to the pharmacist and ask him or her to send the medication via the pneumatic tube system.
