Data saturation occurs when no new information or ideas are emerging from new participants because everything they say has already been expressed by previous participants. It does not necessarily mean that all participants agree on the themes, or that the emerging themes are congruent with those developed from previous studies. Participants' interest or willingness to discuss their experiences or feelings may also vary, but this alone does not signify data saturation.
