In addition to the individualized nursing diagnoses that apply to surgical patients,the patient scheduled for plastic or reconstructive surgery can typically be expected to have the following nursing diagnosis:

A) Risk for Infection related to operative/invasive plastic/reconstructive procedure.
B) Disturbed Body Image related to congenital or acquired defect or developmental abnormality.
C) Risk for Ineffective Tissue Perfusion related to surgical intervention.
D) All of the nursing diagnoses are relevant to most plastic and reconstructive surgery patients.
