After six months, Achmid's contacts in the U.S. completed arrangements for him to receive his U.S. citizenship. With the citizenship in hand, he joins the U.S. Army as a translator for U.S. forces. Because of his knowledge of three different Arabic dialects, Achmid rapidly advances in rank. Within a few years he has already achieved the rank of Major. Throughout the years he secretly copies documents, battle plans, and other top secret information to the Al-Qaeda group. The day of reckoning arrives. The U.S. Army has received 200 new helicopters that have been retrofitted with the latest in technology for combat against the Taliban in Afghanistan. At night, Achmid plants explosives on all of the helicopters. The explosives are set to detonate at 0700. He knows that a test flight of the choppers is scheduled for 0630 with a designated flight time of one hour. At planned, at 0700 all 200 helicopters explode simultaneously. What charges may be filed against Achmid? America can benefit from the talents, expertise, and knowledge, of members of other countries who devote their life to the American way of life. However, how can government entities weed out those bent on destruction of America?
