While we may not have created systemic forms of discrimination, we can control how we respond to and perpetuate them in our own lives. This means we can do our part to recognize and challenge our own biases, actively work towards inclusivity and equality, and support marginalized communities. We cannot control how others respond to racism, and while we should certainly empathize and support oppressed minorities, their feelings are not ours to own or control. Similarly, erasing past hurts is not possible or within our control, but we can work towards reconciliation and healing in the present and future.
