The rebellion led to patricians accepting the elected tribunes and written laws as a way to appease the plebeians and prevent future uprisings. Social divisions, however, were not abolished. Livy, a Roman historian, did write a history of Rome but it was not necessarily from the Plebs's point of view. The chief conspirators were not exiled to Africa, and the plebeians were not expelled from Rome.
