When people of different countries are asked about their subject well-being, the following pattern emerges:

A) On the average, even people in the poorest countries rate themselves as high as those in the richest.
B) Among technologically advanced and prosperous countries, people in the most prosperous countries are no happier than those in somewhat less prosperous countries.
C) With few exceptions, the richer the country, the greater the average happiness of its residents.
D) People in the poorest countries actually rate themselves as happier than those in the richest countries.
