Over Half of the People in the World Who Live

Over half of the people in the world who live in extreme poverty live in China and India combined.
Concentrations of extreme poverty are alarmingly high in dozens of smaller,less developed nations like Mali,Haiti,and Zambia,where average incomes are also shockingly low.However,the greatest number of extremely poor people reside in the world's largest countries.China and India alone contain a third of the world's population and half of the world's extreme poverty.
