In Order to Meet the DSM-5 Definition of an Adjustment

In order to meet the DSM-5 definition of an adjustment disorder,two conditions must be met: (1) clinically significant symptoms occur in response to stress,and (2)

A) these symptoms are not severe enough to be labeled a mental disorder.
B) these symptoms are severe enough to be labeled a mental disorder.
C) depression and/or anxiety must be present.
D) symptoms of identity or role confusion must co-occur.
