ADH exerts its control over water reabsorption in the DCT and collecting ducts of the kidneys, by increasing the permeability of the walls of these structures to water. This allows for more water to be reabsorbed into the bloodstream and less to be excreted in the urine. ADH does not exert control over the glomerulus or renal pelvis.
