The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) does not make unconscionable contracts more likely to be enforced. Instead, it provides a framework for courts to determine whether a contract is unconscionable and, therefore, unenforceable. Section 2-302 of the UCC allows courts to refuse to enforce the entirety or any part of a contract if it is found to be unconscionable at the time it was made.
