A broad overview of health care finance is provided in this course, but the emphasis is on activities that are crucial to the operational management of clinical services, such as estimating revenues, costs, and profits, planning and budgeting, analyzing capital investment choices, using metrics to monitor operations, and working with financial statements and ratios. The introduction and increased understanding of financial accounting and management as crucial instruments for decision-making in the delivery, management, and policy of health care is provided by this course.
