Professors Hobson and Stickgold invite you to be a co-researcher in a PET scan study comparing brain activity during REM sleep and slow-wave NREM sleep. As you finish analyzing the results of the study, Dr. Stickgold exclaims"This is wonderful! The PET scan results are the same as an earlier study. Compared to slow-wave sleep, during REM there is:

A) a sharp increase in frontal lobe activity."
