While It Is Illegal to Recruit, Hire, and Promote Employees

While it is illegal to recruit, hire, and promote employees based upon a person's sex, it is NOT illegal:

A) to have separate policies for men and women
B) to reserve some jobs for men only (ex. male welders)
C) to have bona fide occupational requirements that discriminate on the basis of sex
D) to have similar standards for men or women even if such standards are arbitrary
E) to hire on the basis of sex so long as this has been made clear from the beginning
