One of the extreme sports I have always been curious about is bungee jumping because it seems to be very exciting and scary at the same time. Bungee jumping consists of jumping from a tall structure, such as a bridge, while connected to a large elastic cord. The Golden Gate Bridge, for example, is a masterpiece of engineering. Once you jump, the cord stretches and you "fly" and oscillate up and down until the kinetic energy is dissipated. Anybody who jumps from a bridge is completely nuts and couldn't care less about their own well-being. I think you need to be very brave and in good shape to try bungee jumping, so I will probably keep on being a spectator for some more time.
