Don't put all your eggs in one basket = You should spread your bets to avoid risk i.e. if you were to put all of your eggs in one basket, and then lost that basket, you have lost all of your eggs. If you spread the eggs among multiple baskets, you would have only lost a few.
Don't count your chickens before they hatch = This proverb warns against assuming something positive will happen before it actually does happen i.e. just because you have 10 eggs does not guarantee you will get 10 chickens to hatch.
The early bird catches the worm = People who wake up early or arrive somewhere early are often more productive or have the best options to choose from. If the bird woke up late, he would have no worms to eat because the earlier birds would have eaten them already.
The chickens come home to roost = Chickens leave their roost (where they sleep) during the day and come back at night to go to sleep. Just like the chickens that will come back, your bad actions will come back to haunt you later.
Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise = Going to bed early and waking up early will help you be healthier and more productive.
