Once a team achieves a "well -functioning" status it important to employ strategies that are designed to maintain the team process and to continue to facilitate growth. These are termed generative practices. As future leaders it is important that you understand these practices and are prepared to implement them. The following questions are designed to challenge your thinking about generative practice.
There is a team member with whom you frequently disagree. In the last meeting the interaction devolved into an all-out shouting match. You ask a fellow team member for feedback on the interaction. Generative practice would recommend that you:

A) Reflect on the feedback and your reaction to it.
B) Identify the main issues conveyed in the feedback.
C) Plan on how to utilize the feedback for positive growth.
