A) helping staff learn what they need to know to effectively perform their jobs through orientation, mentoring, on-the-job training, and coaching;
B) monitoring workloads and unit and staff performance to assure that standards and expectations are successfully achieved; 

C) keeping staff apprised of their performance and providing recognition for staff efforts and accomplishments; 

D) all of the above.
