The Physical Educator Can Assist the Student Who Uses a Walker

The physical educator can assist the student who uses a walker safely, with the exception of which of the following guidelines?

A) Setting the walker at arm's length in front of student, with all four legs on the floor. If the walker has wheels on the front legs, ask the student to take the weight off his/her hands and push the walker forward.
B) Informing the student to use the handle of the walker for balance as she/he moves her/his weak or injured leg forward to the middle area of the walker.
C) Informing the student to push straight down on the handles of the walker, bringing his/her good leg up, so it is even with the injured leg.
D) Informing the student that participating from a wheelchair during physical education increases participation.
