The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Nursing Informatics Certification validates the competency of nurses working in the area of information technology. Licensed RNs with a minimum of a bachelor's degree who have had at least 1,000 hours of experience in informatics in the last 3 years, combined with graduate level informatics coursework, or, 2,000 hours of experience in informatics in the last 3 years, or, a graduate degree in informatics are eligible to take the ANCC Nursing Informatics Certification examination. There are no ANCC Certifications for Health Information, Health Technology or Nursing Technology.
