ODD is a behavior disorder in which children demonstrate behaviors that are oppositional toward adults. This is the most common referral complaint to counselors and a major source of family stress, as ODD behaviors occur hundreds of times per week. Comorbid conditions include ADHD (incidence increases with age), conduct disorder, PTSD, learning disabilities, school underperformance, poor social skills, dysthymia, and major depression.
