As defined by the Statistics Canada, household living arrangements refers to:

A) whether or not the person lives with another person or persons and, if so, whether or not he or she is related to that person or persons.
B) anyone living in dorms, in military service, in extended hospital or nursing home care, or in prisons
C) one person living alone
D) any combination of two or more people living together on a permanent basis
E) a household containing two blood relatives and at least one child
