Joan Singh Is an Employee in an Insurance Office

Joan Singh is an employee in an insurance office. There is only one other female employee there, Rose Chin, and Rose is being sexually harassed by a male employee. Also, some of the other employees make offensive remarks in Rose's presence about Chinese people. Joan herself is not the victim of either these behaviours, perhaps because she is a very assertive woman. Rose, on the other hand, is afraid of making waves and does not complain. Joan goes to the boss and tells him that unless the men in the office change their ways, she is going to go to the Human Rights Commission on Rose's behalf.
