It also creates better vision for the wearer and is more comfortable since the weight is also reduced.

For instance if you have a blue sunglass frame, you might want a flash mirror of blue to match, however you don't want to look through a blue lens, so you pick a brown tinted lens with a blue flash mirror on top.
