The Optimizing Model of decision making is the most time consuming but the one that is best able to facilitate the best decisions. The goal of this model is to select the BEST solution possible as based on full investigation of all alternatives, the benefits, risks and costs of each. Other decision making models do not require the same extensiveness in terms of possible alternatives and risk/benefit analysis.
