Feedback loops (from the receiver, or the environment), provide information about the output as it relates to the data received, and/or acted upon. This feedback either validates the received data, or reflects a need to correct/modify original input information. Thus, transactional models draw attention to communication as being relational, and having purpose, and meaning-making attributes. Figure 5.1 displays the elements of transactional models.
